16 January 2022 was a blessed and grace filled day for the Region of Nigeria as two of our brothers, Muogbo Michael and Obumkaneme Valentine, made their final Commitment to Jesus the Divine Master in the Congregation by professing the evangelical Counsels. They prepared themselves for this lifelong commitment by attending an online preparatory course. The ceremony took place at the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, Enugu during a Holy Mass presided over by Father Joseph Kandachamkunnel, Regional Superior. Present at the ceremony were Father Berkman David, the delegate to the Community of Enugu, Father Edeh James, parish priest of the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, and Father Obasi Martins from the community of Port Harcourt who preached the homily for the occasion. Also, present were Sister Idowu Josephine, Delegate Superior of the Daughters of St Paul to West Africa, Venerini Sisters, Parishioners, and well-wishers. The vows were received by Father Joseph Kandachamkunnel.
The newly perpetually professed expressed their gratitude to God, to the members of the General Government and the Regional Government, to those that took them through the preparatory courses, and all those who accompanied them during the years of Formation. The ceremony was concluded with the cutting of a Cake in the community.
